Christian Community Outreach

God has blessed our Church with another building in which we can serve the community. Summit Presbyterian Church now has a Christian Community Outreach Building located at 650 Saxonburg Road where the old Jefferson Elementary School was. Many events and programs are run through this building including His Kids Christian School. His Kid's Christian School is a Christ centered curriculum for children from PreSchool to 4th Grade.

The purpose of MAF is to multiply the effectiveness of the church using Aviation and other strategic technologies to reach the world for Christ. We support Matt and Megan Cox from MAF and consider part of our churches missionaries.

How do I donate to missions?

On the offering envelopes, there is a line for mission donations. If you specify an amount and mission on that line, that money goes to that mission in addition to what the Mission Committee decides to give them. For example, if you write Food Bank $25, then the Food Bank is given $25 in addition to any funds that might be allocated from the general mission fund. If you leave the front of your envelope blank or put a check mark under Summit and Missions, then 10% of your offering will go into a general fund for missions. The distribution of funds from the general mission fund is determined by the Mission Committee, which meets to decide how to divide the fund among the missions sponsored by the church. The Mission Committee also is responsible for keeping the congregation informed about the missions we support. You can volunteer to be part of the Mission Committee.
