The Church’s mission and ministry is that of Jesus Christ as that is the only mission and ministry that we have and the only mission and ministry that shares the Good News of salvation.

We have been given the Great Commission (Mattew  28:16-20) the Church is called to serve in its community and around the world – Summit Church participates and supports the following through small group ministry:

Local

HIS Kid’s School

Our primary local mission is HIS Kid’s School which is in the Christian Community Outreach Center (formerly Jefferson Elementary School)
HIS Kids Christian School's purpose is to educate children and guide them to Jesus Christ through an academically challenging Bible-rich curriculum.  We desire to see children develop in a balanced way - spiritually, mentally, physically, and socially, just as Jesus did.
At HIS Kids Christian School, our staff is equipped to address the many areas developing in a child’s life.  Our teachers enhance children’s spiritual development in an intentional and nurturing manner.  Academics are taken seriously while including God within all areas of study.  Cultivating a worldview in which God has His rightful place, we look to the Bible for guidance in answering life’s big questions.  We want to see all our students reach their God-given potential by helping to develop their unique skills and talents.

Our small groups support the School by providing facility improvements, participation in school activities and events, support of the teaching and professional staff and support of the students and their parents.

Loaves and Fishes Foodbank

​In conjunction with the Greater Pittsburgh Food Bank, Summit Church has Food Bank once a month on the last Saturday of each month. Visitation

This small group engages in visitation of people who are unable to come to the Church, and of individuals or families that have attended the Church.

 

Prayer

There are several small groups that are dedicated to prayer for HIS Kid’s Christian School, members of the Church family and needs of the community. The need for prayers are collected via website request, from the prayer boxes outside the School and Church, or received through the Prayer Line or called to the Church Office.

 

Promise of New Life Network

Promise of New Life Network is a pro-life organization that support women that are considering abortion. Promise of New Life Network provides counseling, and physical support for pregnant mothers. Summit Church supports this ministry financially, and by diaper and clothing drives. If you are interested in supporting this mission, please contact
